Tickets are available to purchase October 1. Online ticket sales will close at 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 26. Limited tickets will be sold at the door. For guaranteed entry, please pre-purchase tickets online. Tickets are valid only for the tour time purchased. Tickets are non-refundable. Upon arrival, please visit the check-in table at Ghost Walk Marketplace and show your email confirmation to get your tour wristband. You must get a wristband prior to your tour time. We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour time. Please queue up in front of Trinity Church with your wristband 15 minutes prior to your tour time.

Come early or stay late! Ghost Walk Marketplace will be open from 5:30 – 9:30 PM.  This spooktacular marketplace features curated vendors and entertainment especially for Ghost Walk. The marketplace is free and open to the public. Stay a spell and visit all the haunted happenings. Your tour will begin and end at the Ghost Walk Marketplace.

Ghosts of the Olde Towne Ghost Walk tell their tales of love, loss, murder and mayhem! Patrons are guided on a walking tour through the historic distric of Olde Towne, Portsmouth. At each haunted house visitors hear costumed actors retell the legends of ghostly visitations and things that go bump in the night!

Olde Towne, Portsmouth is a 20-square block, 500 building area on the National Register of Historic Places. This tour is family friendly. It’s spooky, not scary. No one jumps out to scare you.

Cameras are welcome. Houses are private properties and not open to the public. The ghosts of the Olde Towne Ghost Walk only appear once a year on the Friday before Halloween!

TICKETS: $15.00  

TOURS DEPART: From 6:15 – 9:30 PM. Tickets are sold for specific tour times. Patrons are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before their tour time to enjoy vendors, reenactors, and ghostly entertainers before a short queue for the tour. The last tour ends at approximately 10:45 pm.

LOCATION: Tours begin and end at the Ghost Walk Marketplace in front of Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 Court Street, Portsmouth, VA, at the intersection of High Street & Court Streets in downtown Portsmouth.

FAQs:
LENGTH OF GHOST WALK: The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and will begin and end at Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 Court St. There will be entertainment, vendors, and more.
 
PARKING: Free parking in municipal parking garages located on County and High Street and on Middle Street. Limited on-street parking in Olde Towne business district.
 
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE: Guests are encourage to arrive 30 minutes prior to tour time. Please queue up in front of Trinity Church with your tour wristband 15 minutes prior to your tour.
 
CHECK-IN: Check-in at Ghost Walk Marketplace check-in table 20 minutes prior to your tour time and get your tour wristband. Show your email confirmation at check-in. You must have a wristband to join the tour. Ghost Walk Marketplace is located on Court St. between High and County St.
 
CLOTHING: Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
 
PETS: We love pets, however, we ask that pets stay home for this event for the comfort of all our guests. With entertainers, actors, costumes, spookiness, and large crowds, it may be too much for even the most loveable pet.
 
NO SMOKING:  This is non-smoking tour. Please no cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or vapes. Thanks!
 
WEATHER: Tours will go on in moonlight or rain.
 
TICKETS: On October 1st, tickets will be available to purchase online. Tickets are $15 per person, children under 5 years old are free.  Limited tickets will also be sold at the door while supplies last. To guarantee a spot, please purchase tickets online. When you arrive for your tour, check-in at Ghost Walk Marketplace to receive your tour wrist band. You must have a wrist band to join your tour. Stay a spell and visit all the haunted happenings. Your tour will begin and end at the Ghost Walk Marketplace.

The Hill House Museum presents A Night at the Museum with Funeral Attire of the 1800s. Meet the ghost of Queen Victoria! Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the marketplace or at the musuem. A Night at the Museum tours will run from 6:30 – 9:30 PM. Click the image for more information.
